I started out showing Beardies, in 1988 with a puppy named Kody. I promised his breeder that I would show him - Who would have know the changes that little promise would bring about in my life! Kody became - Can Am Ch. Otch Amberlea's Midnight Special Am CDX HC. Then came his pal Murphy who became Can Am Ch. Amberlea's Smooth Operator Can Am Cd HC.
I was now solidly entrenched in Showing and Competing with my beardies in Obedience. Still not enough I finally got my girl the foundation of Kincurran Bearded Collies. Aptly named Devlin, she went on to become the the Dam of four litters, obtain Championship titles, Obedience titles and took me into the world of Agility!! What a ride we had for 15.5 years. As well as breeding these four took me into the world of dog training on a professional level. I left my job in nursing after 25 years and took up dog training full time. If anyone had told me how one little puppy would change my life, I never would have believed them!!

Now having been in beardies for over 20 years, I still love the breed as I did when I first met them , I still show but not as often, we play more in Agility by mutual agreement and breed occasionally but am still very committed to maintaining good temperaments, health and structure and that wonderful beardie personality!
